Gaza ceasefire collapses & violence erupts





















 Peace talks in Cairo on the Qs of violence to end and bring ceasefire in Gaza between Israel and Hamas has collapsed. Palestinian militants firing dozens of rockets at Israel, and in return Israel launching air strikes. Peace talks in Cairo to extend the truce in Gaza has been suspended indefinitely and the Israeli delegation has left Cairo.Palestinian negotiators have blamed Israel for violating the truce while Israel claimed Hamas has been raining rockets inside its territory. Palestinian officials said that Israeli aircraft launched 35 attacks, including one on a house in Gaza City, where three persons were killed.

Israel claimed that three rockets were fired from Gaza, hours before the ceasefire was due to expire. It was followed by dozens of rockets shelled from Gaza at a number of cities in Israel.A missile hit open land in the greater Tel Aviv area without any casualties.Spokesman for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Mark Regev said that rocket attacks were a grave and direct violation of the ceasefire. The Israeli military spokesman said that in response, terror targets across the Gaza Strip were attacked
Hamas said that it fired at least 40 rockets at Israel targeting Jerusalem and the Tel Aviv area including Israel's Ben-Gurion International Airport. Hamas's armed wing accused Israel of violating the calm and committing a massacre and warned that Israel would pay a heavy price for its air strikes. Earlier Hamas had denied any involvement in the rocket fire.
Hamas has said the wife and child of its military commander Mohammed Deif were killed in the raids.The US has voiced concern about the renewed hostilities, and blamed Hamas.
