Energy Storage India 2014EBTC is key partner for Energy Storage India 2014 (ESI 2014) - the only event for Energy Storage in India. hosted by India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA).

After the recent RFPs for Energy Storage in India by Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE), Govt. of India & POWERGRID Corporation of India (PGCIL) and subsequently the ‘Make in India’ campaign by the Govt. of India, suddenly the market in India is looking hot for energy storage.

The theme of the conference this year is 'Re-Imagining India’s Energy Infrastructure,' and will focus on various applications where energy storage and micro-grid technologies will help India leapfrog the energy infrastructure development.

The pre-conference workshop will provide an introduction to energy storage technologies and applications, as well as policy workshops and more. The main conference will cover topics from the 'Make in India' initiative; policy sessions; case studies; innovation pitches, and issues such as renewable integration, off grid / micro grid / critical infrastructure, financing storage & hybrid; electric mobility, and many more.

Kind regards,

The EBTC team on behalf of IESA

Save Dissent to Save Democracy   THE rising instances of physical violence and threats against political opponents and the inability to accept dissent must raise huge concerns amongst all of us who see democracy as perhaps the really stellar achievement since Independence. AAP’s attack on BJP headquarters and acts of arson committed under the very noses of their elite leadership; the attacks on Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia in Gujarat in the last two days; the recent manhandling of the caretaker of journalist Siddharth Varadarajan’s house by some garden variety thugs; and the violence and threats meted out regularly to their political opponents by political parties is surely deplorable and condemnable. This is a fatally flawed trend which will destroy the very foundations of our democratic institutions if not pushed back with all the strength and condemnation that the civil society can mobilise. Replaying the past To begin with, it must be clarified that we should ...
