It is our pleasure to announce the “10th EnPower SOLAR 2019” to be held on Friday, 22nd February 2019, in SCOPE Convention Centre – “Tagore Chambers”, Core No. 8, SCOPE Complex, 7, Lodi Road, New Delhi – 110 003, INDIA, with the Theme – RUSM – 400 GW (Rashtriya Urja Sourya Mission) – INDIA A Solar SuperPower– Upping the Ante towards 400 GW Solar by 2025. The Prestigious“4th SOURYA URJA Puraskaar 2019” – INDIA’s Awards for Excellence in SOLAR” will also be held concurrently on even day.

The Day will mark the announcement of “4th SOURYA URJA Puraskaar 2019” adjudicated by the Eminent Jury, whereinAwards covering Solar Excellence by Enterprises as well as Individual Leadership Excellence will be given away and the concurrent deliberations of “RUSM – 400 GW (Rashtriya Urja Sourya Mission) – INDIA A Solar SuperPower – Upping the Ante towards 400 GW Solar by 2025” will be held as proceedings at the“10th EnPower SOLAR 2019”.

Save Dissent to Save Democracy   THE rising instances of physical violence and threats against political opponents and the inability to accept dissent must raise huge concerns amongst all of us who see democracy as perhaps the really stellar achievement since Independence. AAP’s attack on BJP headquarters and acts of arson committed under the very noses of their elite leadership; the attacks on Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia in Gujarat in the last two days; the recent manhandling of the caretaker of journalist Siddharth Varadarajan’s house by some garden variety thugs; and the violence and threats meted out regularly to their political opponents by political parties is surely deplorable and condemnable. This is a fatally flawed trend which will destroy the very foundations of our democratic institutions if not pushed back with all the strength and condemnation that the civil society can mobilise.
