Por Tuppy Duo. Freya Tuppy (violin) & Hemma Tuppy (piano)

Viernes 23 de noviembre a las 7pm en el auditorio, entrada libre.

Tuppy Duo está formado por las hermanas Hemma y Freya Tuppy. Debido a su pasión por la música de cámara y la gran oportunidad de tocar juntas desde su niñez, alcanzaron pronto un alto nivel de experiencia y sensibilidad en la comunicación musical. Lo que las une es el su interés por los repertorios de todo tipo de música para violín y piano y sus ganas por perseguir esa pasión.

Freya Tuppy, violin. Freya Tuppy nació en Vienna en 1990 y studio violin desde los 7 años en el curso preparatorio de la University of Performing Arts en Vienna con Michael Frischenschlager, Marina Sorokowa y Dora Schwarzberg. En Junio de 2008 Freya se graduó en Akademisches Gymnasium Wien cum laude. En 2009 fue admitida en Estudios Superiores para Violín de Eugenia Polatschek en el Conservatorio de la Universidad Privada en 2011 en las clases de violín de Anton Sorokow. En 2011 recibió la beca Erasmus para estudiar en el Conservatorio de Amsterdam con Peter Brunt. Además de sus estudios de solo también estudia música de cámara como Duo con su hermana Hemma y el Trio de Altenberg desde 2010. La joven violinista fué elegida para una clase de educación en el Centro Karajan (Junge Akademie Wien”). Freya es miembro de la Joven Orquestra Filarmónica de Vienna y Tuppy Trio. Freya Tuppy ha Ganado numerosos primeros premios y reconocimientos en la Competición Austríaca para Jóvenes, „Prima la Musica“, tanto como solista y como en formaciones de música de cámara con sus hermanas Hemma (Piano) y Tilman (Chelo).
En 2002 Freya interpretó “Kleiner Mozart” en el musical para niños de Timna en el “Wiener Secession” y en el “Theater Akzent”. (CD recording) Freya Tuppy ha dado conciertos en China, Alemania, Croacia, Italia, Holanda y Austria (entre otros en el Haydn Hall del Castillo Esterhazy en Eisenstadt, en el Music Hall de Ludwigsburg, en la Sociedad para Música y Teatro, en el Eroica Hall del Palacio Lobkowitz y el Bösendorfer Hall de Vienna).

Hemma Tuppy, piano. Hemma Tuppy nació en 1988 en Vienna y empezó sus estudios de piano a los 7 años en la Universidad para la Música y Artes Escénicas de Vienna con Alma Sauer. En 2006 Hemma fue aceptada para los Estudios de Diploma de Piano del pianist alemán Stefan Arnold. El mismo año se graduó cum laude en el Akademisches Gymnasium Wien. Desde 2010 ha estado estudiando música de cámara con el trío Altenberg en el Conservatorio de la Universidad Privada y forma parte de los estudios de música de cámara “Aurora” de Suecia. Hemma Tuppy ha ganado numerosos premios a nivel nacional e internacional de competiciones como la la Competición Austríaca „Prima la Musica“ (cinco veces 1r premio, la Competición Internacional de Piano „Virtuosi per musica di pianoforte“ en Usti nad Labem (premio de honor),la competición de música internacional “Noor Music Young Musicians” en Tallinn, Estonia (2o premio), la internacional “Wiener Pianistenwettbewerb” (WPW) en el Bösendörfersaal Vienna (1r premio) y la competición de piano Rudolf Heydner (1r premio). Como pianista del Trio Koncz fué galardonada con el “Premio Europeo de Música para Jóvenes”. Recibió una beca para la Fundación Karajan de Vienna y el premio de Beethoven Gesellschaft Vienna. Tras ganar el casting de  Musica Juventutis, Hemma debutó en el Wiener Konzerthaus en 2003 con el Trio Koncz y en 2006 como solista. Además de sus recitals en solitario también ha trabajado en orquestas como la Orquesta Simfónica de Mexico (1r Concierto para Piano de Beethovens bajo Enrique Batiz), Orquesta Universitaria de Guanajuato, Niederösterreichische Symphoniker, Orquesta de Cámara Filarmónica Polaca,  Orquesta para cámara de Tallinn y Ensemble Neue Streicher. Hemma también ha participado en el Festival Danube, el Liszt Festival Raiding (donde tocó con el grand piano original de Erard) y el Haydn Festspiele Eisenstadt. Hemma Tuppy ha tocado en varios teatros Austríacos (Brucknerhaus Linz, Musikverein Wien, Wiener Konzerthaus) así como en Luxemburgo (Philharmonie), Alemania, Italia, Hungría, Suecia, Holanda y México. En mayo de 2012 ha participado en el Festival de Música Internacional para Estudiantes de Kyoto/ Japón.

The Tuppy Duo was formed by the sisters Hemma and Freya Tuppy. Due to their passion to chamber music and the great possibility of performing together from their early childhood on, they achieved a high level of experience and sensibility in musical communication. What unites them is their great interest in the repertoire for Violin and Piano through all musical styles and their aim to deepen this passion.

Freya Tuppy, violin. Freya Tuppy was born in Vienna in 1990 and studied violin since she was seven years old in the preparatory course at the University of Performing Arts in Vienna with Michael Frischenschlager, Marina Sorokowa and Dora Schwarzberg. In June 2008 Freya graduated at the Akademisches Gymnasium Wien with distinction. In 2009 she was admitted to the Violin Bachelor Studies of Eugenia Polatschek at the Konservatorium Wien Privatuniversität and in 2011 to the violin class with Anton Sorokow. 2011 she received an Erasmus studentship and studies now at the Conservatory of Amsterdam with Peter Brunt. In addition to her solo studies she is studying chamber music as a Duo with her sister Hemma with the Altenberg Trio Wien since 2010. The young violinist was selected for an education class at the Karajan Centrum (Junge Akademie Wien). Freya is a member of the Vienna Youth Philharmonic Orchestra and the Tuppy Trio. Freya Tuppy won several First Prices and Special Awards of the Austrian Youth Competition “Prima la Musica“ both as a soloist and in chamber music formations with her siblings Hemma (Piano) and Tilman (Cello).
In 2002 Freya played the “Kleiner Mozart” in the Children’s Musical of Timna Brauer in the “Wiener Secession” and in the “Theater Akzent”. (CD recording) Freya Tuppy gave concerts in China, Germany, Croatia, Italy, The Netherlands and Austria (amoung others in the Haydn Hall of the Esterhazy Castle in Eisenstadt, in the Music Hall of Ludwigsburg, in the Society of Music Theatre, in the Eroica Hall of the Lobkowitz Palais and the Bösendorfer Hall Vienna).

Hemma Tuppy, piano. Hemma Tuppy was born in 1988 in Vienna and started her piano studies at the age of seven at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with Alma Sauer. In 2006 Hemma was accepted to the Piano Diploma Studies of the German pianist Stefan Arnold. The same year she graduated with distinction at the Akademisches Gymnasium Wien. Since 2010 she is also studying chambermusic with the Altenberg Trio at the Konservatorium Wien Privatuniversität and takes part in the “Aurora” chamber music studies in Sweden. Hemma Tuppy won several prizes at national and international competitions such as the Austrian competition “Prima la Musica” (five times 1st prize), the international piano competition “Virtuosi per musica di pianoforte“ in Usti nad Labem (honour award), the international music competition “Noor Music Young Musicians” in Tallinn, Estonia (2nd prize), the international “Wiener Pianistenwettbewerb” (WPW) in the Bösendörfersaal Vienna (1st prize) and the Rudolf Heydner Piano competition (1st prize) . As the pianist of the Koncz Trio she awarded the “European Music Prize for Youth”. She received a scholarship of the Karajan Foundation Vienna and the prize of the Beethoven Gesellschaft Vienna. After winning the Musica Juventutis audition Hemma gave her debut at Wiener Konzerthaus, in 2003 with the Koncz Trio and in 2006 as a soloist. Despite frequent solo recitals the young pianist has already worked together with orchestras such as the Mexico Symphony Orchestra (Beethovens 1st Piano concerto under Enrique Batiz), University Orchestra of Guanajuato, Niederösterreichische Symphoniker, Polish Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra, Tallinn Chamber Orchestra and Ensemble Neue Streicher. Hemma has also participated in the Danube Festival, the Liszt Festival Raiding (where she performed on the original Erard grand piano) and the Haydn Festspiele Eisenstadt. Hemma Tuppy has performed in famous Austrian concert halls (Brucknerhaus Linz, Musikverein Wien, Wiener Konzerthaus) as well as in Luxembourg (Philharmonie), Germany, Italy, Hungary, Sweden, Netherlands and Mexico. In May 2012 she participated in the International Music Students Festival Kyoto/ Japan.
