CAG Report again Proves that Cong and BJP are "Dukan" of Reliance and Adani
No Wonder Why Both Parties are in Favour Of Weak Lokayuktas

The tall claims that Delhi Government had been making regarding development in Delhi has been exposed. The CAG report on performance of Delhi government has brought to front the inefficiency and corruption in managing all the essential services including health, water, housing and security. It also shows the insensitivity of the government towards its citizens. Significant increase in cost of implementation of its programs has also manifested itself in the form of multiple times increase in the cost of electricity and water bills in past few years.
The report should not be treated just as CAG report but as the agony of common people of Delhi. There is hardly any department, which has remained untouched by corruption and commission raj. The CAG report indicates the same as well. But, what will happen to this report? Would it also be sidelined and put in cold storage like the earlier CAG reports?
Though the CAG has unearthed one scam after the other – each one bigger than the earlier – no real investigation has happened due to lack of independent investigation agency. Now that the CAG has exposed Delhi Government, the same question arises here as well. Who would investigate these charges? We are sure that if these serious charges are investigated by an independent investigating agency, not only Sheila Dikshit and her Ministers but also many of her associates would be behind the bars.
The CAG report has validated that there is large scale corruption in DJB and electricity departments – issues that Aam Aadmi Party has been fighting for. This further asserts the need for a Civil Disobedience movement in Delhi. The CAG report clearly states that Delhi Transco has given undue advantage to private discoms. Even water is a scarce commodity in the capital with almost one fourth of Delhi depending on tanker supply for water. And when residents of Delhi pledge not to pay inflated bills and demand for their rights, it is termed as "spreading lawlessness".
As Arvind Kejriwal's upwas enters the 12th day, more than 8.84 lakh people have signed protest letters to Shiela Dishit saying that they would not be paying inflated bills. Till yesterday night, i.e. April 2nd, around 8,84,384 protest letters have been signed. But far from accepting these protest letters, the Delhi Chief Minister uses force on activists to stop them delivering the letters.
Unfortunately, not only Congress but BJP is also equally involved in the loot. The CAG in its report on Gujarat has clearly stated that Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has given undue advantage to big corporate houses – Reliance Industries, Essar Ltd and Adani Power Ltd. This has led to losses worth several crores. What is even more surprising is that the report was presented on the last day of the session, so as to avoid furore by the opposition.
To save its face from these charges, the Gujarat has recently passed a toothless Lokayukta Bill. If Narendra Modi is seriously thinking on the lines of development of India, he should have set an example in his state. Rather he preferred to pass a weak lokayukta law, which will be nothing but a puppet in the hands of the Government.
Meanwhile, on the 12th day of upwas, Arvind Kejriwal's health parameters are within normal range. His Blood Pressure is 107/69, pulse 72, sugar 126, ketones 3+ and weight is 57.5kgs.

Save Dissent to Save Democracy   THE rising instances of physical violence and threats against political opponents and the inability to accept dissent must raise huge concerns amongst all of us who see democracy as perhaps the really stellar achievement since Independence. AAP’s attack on BJP headquarters and acts of arson committed under the very noses of their elite leadership; the attacks on Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia in Gujarat in the last two days; the recent manhandling of the caretaker of journalist Siddharth Varadarajan’s house by some garden variety thugs; and the violence and threats meted out regularly to their political opponents by political parties is surely deplorable and condemnable. This is a fatally flawed trend which will destroy the very foundations of our democratic institutions if not pushed back with all the strength and condemnation that the civil society can mobilise. Replaying the past To begin with, it must be clarified that we should ...
