AirAsia Appoints Andrew Littledale as Group Chief Financial Officer

13 Feb Sepang, 13 Feb 2012 – AirAsia, the world’s best low cost airline today announces the appointment of Andrew Littledale as Group Chief Financial Officer, effective February 14, 2012. In his new role, reporting to Dato’ Kamarudin Meranun–Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer & President of Group Finance, Treasury, Corporate Finance and Legal–Littledale will have leadership responsibilities across the group’s accounting and financial functions.
Andrew has had nearly 22 years’ experience in banking and industry sectors, having worked in various countries such as Chile, Egypt and the United Kingdom. Prior to joining AirAsia as Group Financial Controller, he was the Chief Financial Officer for AirAsia X since its inception in 2007.
Andrew’s other appointments include Group Reporting Manager of Cookson plc, Group Management Accountant of FKI plc in London and Group Financial Accountant with Blue Circle Industries plc, London.

Andrew began his career as credit analyst. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Zoology from the University of London and is an ACMA qualified accountant. Andrew is also a holder of a JAA Private Pilot’s License.
Air Asia Group Chief Executive Officer, Tan Sri Dr Tony Fernandes added, “Our former Regional Head of Finance Rozman Omar was a pioneer in AirAsia. After 10 years, he decided that he wanted more of a challenge and had made that known to me. With that knowledge, we have been grooming Andrew Littledale to succeed him.
