Zimbabwe's election commission has announced that 89-year old president Robert Mugabe won Wednesday's presidential contest.
The election was, in effect, a two-man race between Mugabe and Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai, the main opposition party candidate.
The commission said on Saturday Mugabe won 61 percent of vote, while Tsvangirai gained 34 percent.
Mugabe's 6th victory means his 33-year rule will extend 5 more years.
But Tsvangirai dismissed the result as fraud and said he would challenge it in court.
The European Union's foreign policy chief, Catherine Ashton, issued a statement saying she is concerned about irregularities and the lack of transparency in the election.
