Radiation Norms and Tests compulsory for Imports of Cell Phones.

Government has fixed SAR Value for handsets as 1.6 and notified that Mobile hand set manufactured and sold in India or Imported from the other countries shall be checked for compliance of SAR limit. Certain requirements have been prescribed for display of SAR value also. The details with regard to Mobile handsets are given below.   This has been done vide Office Memorandum No. 32-7/2010-EW dated 17 th   November, 20-11 issued by  Government of India, Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications and IT.   Mobile Handsets   (i)                      SAR level for mobile handsets shall be limited to 1.6 Watt/kg, averaged over a 6 minutes period and taken over a volume containing a mass of 1 gram of human tissue. (ii)                   SAR level shall be displayed on the handset. (iii)                  All cell phone handsets sold in the market in India shall comply with relevant BIS standards and shall be with hand free devices. (iv)                 SAR value

PM discusses problems of aviation sector   Top bosses of Indian air carriers on Saturday met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to seek government help for the cash-strapped airline industry including rationalisation of taxes on jet fuel. Brazil's conflict between indigenous people and ranchers

Brazil indigenous Guarani leader Nisio Gomes killed Brazil, an indigenous leader in the south of the country has been shot dead in front of his community. Officials say, Nisio Gomes, 59, was part of a Guarani Kaiowa group that returned to their ancestral land at the start of this month after being evicted by ranchers. He was killed by a group of around 40 masked gunmen who burst into the camp. Brazil's Human Rights Secretary condemned the murder as part of systematic violence against indigenous people in the region.Human Rights Minister Maria do Rosario Nunes said, the region in Mato Grosso do Sul state is one of the worst scenes of conflict between indigenous people and ranchers in the country. A Philippine court issued an arrest warrant on Friday for former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo on electoral fraud charges as part a high-profile tug of war to prevent any chance of her turning fugitive. Flooding in Thailand

  Flooding in Thailand Issued at Bangkok at 18.30 (GMT+7) updated The flooding situation in Thailand is mainly affecting the central provinces along the Chao Phraya River including Bangkok and Ayutthaya.   Other popular tourist destinations in the central region including Pattaya, Hua Hin, Kanchanaburi and Ko Chang have not been affected by the floods.   Tourist destinations in the south of Thailand including Phuket, Krabi, Surat Thani, Ko Samui, Hat Yai and Phang-Na; and in the north including Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and Sukhothai, also have not been affected by the floods. Dear Panchakshri ji, When I took over as President of DTF last year EC had taken a decision that the receipts for annual dues will be issued by the Treasurer of the federation and ADS signed and transmitted by him. Our treasurer is complaining of breach of this code by Shri Khatri our Federatiobn secretary by collecting money towards annual dues and transmitting directly to IS without bringing the treasurer in the picture. The treasurer is unable to compile the full account. Pl. issue instructions to your accounts office not to accept such ASDS in future. Also please check The ADS's of this category in 2010-11 and give  the details thereof to sri Taneja quickly. While  the Secretary could collect ADS, he should give the money thus collected with details to Tr. who alone would issue receipts and transmit to IS. Thanks. M.P.Singhal

Devendra Dutt Mishra, DIG in the Northern State of India Uttar Pradesh Fire Service Department,  picked up from his office and sent to a mental hospital on Friday night.Mishra, when he had threatened to make public files containing evidence of the massive embezzlement of funds in the purchase of equipment in Uttar Pradesh Fire Service Department. “Corruption was rampant in the state government departments.
