Load Shedding Policy - $200b Instant Capital Gains, Save 50BU of Electricity and 100 million tones of CO2, Largely Avoids Power Cuts, Boosts Economic Progress add 2%+ to GDP growth, can be IMLEMENTED IN TWO MONTHS.

Respected Sir,
I have been writing to PMO for long to introduce Load Shedding Program in Delhi that shall avoid power cuts, save 5BU of power, enough to meet power shortages in Bihar .

National Load Shedding Policy shall SPEED UP implementation on Nationwide Scale.

India already has over 50,000MW of Standby Power registered with MoP. Some of the Power Units are Combined Heat & Power that give 90% thermal efficiency (Such units operate as Base Stations in Developed Countries providing Power & District Heating) compared to around 30% for coal based thermal power. Hotels, Most Industries need heat and power. Similarly Malls, Theaters and Airports for example need both Air-conditioning and Power – Generators and Absorption Cooling shall also give 60% to 70% thermal efficiency. Most Offices and Commercial Load have efficient generators.

Since Commercial and Industrial Consumers already pay Rs.6-9 per unit, this can be easily implemented.

So effectively India can avoid 1,00,000MW of Generation Capacity that shall provide 60,000MW average generation. Operating High Efficiency generators can avoid 60,000MW rating of power.

In addition due to Unscheduled power cuts Small Unregistered & Inefficient Generators and Invertors too shall be avoided.

In addition to all above Consumers can Switch to Gas Water Heaters – a rooftop gas heater can provide hot water to all consumers in a building– this is in addition to Solar Water Heaters. Thus India can avoid Electric Geysers Use saving power entirely avoiding load shedding in winter.

Thus India can save 50BU of electricity due to high efficiency generators and 50BU due to avoiding Inefficient Generators and Invertors Use resulting in 100BU advantage or saving 100million tones of CO2.

Since this capacity is spread all over India it shall avoid New Generation Capacity, Transmission & Distribution Lines and best of all reduce loading on existing distribution lines at peak hours, thus AVOIDING BREAKDOWNS.

Thus I can safely claim it shall be Rs.10,00,000 crores ($200b) INSTANT GAIN to India and Rs.50,000 crores annual savings and advantage.

Study of AR of North Grid shows 6.4% energy shortage and 10% of peaking shortages. 50,000MW of MoP registered generation capacity which is 25% of grid in India can easily meet this shortage.

·         There shall be no power cuts (Practically) to Agriculture and Industry except nreakdowns.

·         States in avoiding Rs.10,00,000 crores Capital Investment could effectively overcome T&D Losses that are few Lakh Crore Rupees, and speed up electrification of remaining villages.

·         Indian Economy may grow at ADDITIONAL 2% Growth Rate or return to peak of 8% to 9% growth.

·         My other campaign is to Rapidly Install 200,000MW Hydro Power Manage Our Rivers from above savings with over new 250 BCM Dam Storage Capacity, Flood Protection, Boost Agriculture and Double Rural Income in 10 years.

·         My yet another program is to ‘Provide 50 Million Hectare Of New Irrigation Potential In Two Years to cost Rs.50,0000 crores only.’

·         We can implement such Innovative Programs all over the Developing World – some technologies even in the Developed World.

·         India can exceed 10% Growth Rate.

Thank you,

Faithfully,

Rouhani wins Iran's Presidential election Moderate cleric Hassan Rouhani won Iran's presidential election on Saturday, the interior ministry said, scoring a surprising landslide victory over conservative hardliners without the need of a second round run-off.Interior minister Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar announced on state television that Rouhani secured just over 50 percent of the ballot based on a 72 percent turnout of 50 million eligible voters. Mr Hassan Rouhani ... got the absolute majority of votes and was elected as president," Najjar said. Tehran Mayor Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf, a hard-line conservative, lagged behind with about 16 percent of the votes. Iran's top nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili, he too a hard-line conservative, earned 11 percent. The voter turnout was 72.7 percent. President-elect Hassan Rohani, sixty four years old, is known as a moderate conservative. He has been stressing the need to improve ties with Western nations, and is back...
Save Dissent to Save Democracy   THE rising instances of physical violence and threats against political opponents and the inability to accept dissent must raise huge concerns amongst all of us who see democracy as perhaps the really stellar achievement since Independence. AAP’s attack on BJP headquarters and acts of arson committed under the very noses of their elite leadership; the attacks on Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia in Gujarat in the last two days; the recent manhandling of the caretaker of journalist Siddharth Varadarajan’s house by some garden variety thugs; and the violence and threats meted out regularly to their political opponents by political parties is surely deplorable and condemnable. This is a fatally flawed trend which will destroy the very foundations of our democratic institutions if not pushed back with all the strength and condemnation that the civil society can mobilise. Replaying the past To begin with, it must be clarified that we should ...
