SHIROMANI AKALI DAL GETS SHOT IN ARM, DELHI PRESIDENT OF MAAN DAL JOINS THE PARTY
New Delhi, November 23
The Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) today got shot in the arm as Delhi State President of Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Maan Dal) Mr. Sansar Singh joined the party along with his supporters in the presence of party President Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal.
          Mr. Sansar Singh was Delhi state President of Maan Dal since 2008. He has contested Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee elections 2013 on Maan Dal ticket. This was said to be major boost to Hari Nagar candidate of Shiromani Akali Dal Mr. Shyam Sharma as Mr. Sansar Singh has a mass base in the area.
          Welcoming Mr. Sansar Singh and his supporters into party folds, Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal said thatpeople were joining Shiromani Akali Dal as party was more sensible to issues of common masses and its leaders were more accessible and easily approachable than any other party. He assured Mr. Sansar Singh that party would give him and his supporters due respect in the party. He said that induction of Mr. Sansar Singh and his supporters in the party would strengthen the party in the Hari Nagar constituency.
          Committing to work with their full strength to ensure the record victory of SAD-BJP Candidate, Mr. Sansar Singh said that he and thousands of his supporters would guarantee record margin victory of Mr. Shyam Sharma. He said that he and his supporters joined Shiromani Akali Dal as they were very impressed by pro people policies followed by SAD-BJP alliance in Punjab and they were confident once elected to power alliance would apply same policies in Delhi too.
          Prominent amongst others Mr. Balwant Singh Ramoowalia, Senior Vice President SAD, Mr. Gursewak Singh Jawaharke, Mr. Gurpreet Singh Jhabbar, member SGPC and Mr. Charanjit Singh Brar, advisor to Mr. Badal were also present on the occasion.
