PM asks industries to develop country as global brand by producing zero defect products
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday asked the industries to go beyond 'Make in India' and develop the country as a global brand by producing zero defect products.

Addressing a national workshop on 'Make in India programme' in New Delhi, Modi said without this the domestic manufacturers cannot make an impact on the global market.

He said there should be no restrictions on movement of men, material, money, machinery and minerals so that India can achieve a balanced development.

Modi said the focus should be given to eastern India which has plenty of mineral resources to make the region at par with western parts of the country in terms of development.

The Prime Minister emphasised on public- private partnership for decision making, not just in project investments.

Modi stressed on innovation, research and human resources development, keeping in view future need of country's skilled manpower during next 20 to 30 years.

Earlier in the day, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said the manufacturing sector will remain a challenge unless the radical steps are taken to improve it.

He said entry point into the manufacturing has to be eased to attract more investors from outside.

Commerce and Industry Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in her address said, the new initiatives need to be undertaken to strengthen the 'Make in India' initiatives.

The Minister said that both Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion and Department of Commerce have taken concrete steps for cutting red tape, simplifying rules and delicensing the business environment.

Duterte also said the Philippines will invite China and African nations to form another global organisation in place of United Nations, as world body is not doing enough to address hunger and terrorism. There appears to be human rights working for terrorist and mafia in third world to keep their states in dire state. Two UN human rights experts last week urged Manila to stop the extra-judicial executions and killings that have escalated since Duterte won the Presidency.
