Of its 45 stations across the country, 92.7 BIG FM Delhi is one of the leading markets with the largest audience base and the toughest one to maintain listenership stability. The station has over the years experimented with distinctive content, innovative promotions and interesting programming thereby breaking the monotony in an intensely competitive market. Understanding that the average profile for Delhites is pegged at a 35+ M/F, 92.7 BIG FM Delhi changed its brand positioning and status quo to serve the music interest of the audiences by playing evergreen retro classics that led to its positioning ‘HIT THEE HIT RAHENGE’.

In addition to this, the backend research by the station along with consumer’s insights received from street level marketing, consumer home visits and listener interactions is what allows the station to emerge as the top network in Delhi.

Commenting on the success Mr. Ashwin Padmanabhan, Business Head – 92.7 BIG FM said, “We conceptualize our programs and concepts to keep our audiences interested and intrigued all the time. We are delighted to be crowned as the No.1 Radio Station in Delhi and extend our gratitude to our loyal listeners who have contributed to our success story. Being the leading radio network in the city further fortifies our position and offerings enabling us to provide an extensive platform to our advertisers to increase their consumer base and visibility in the market.”

Save Dissent to Save Democracy   THE rising instances of physical violence and threats against political opponents and the inability to accept dissent must raise huge concerns amongst all of us who see democracy as perhaps the really stellar achievement since Independence. AAP’s attack on BJP headquarters and acts of arson committed under the very noses of their elite leadership; the attacks on Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia in Gujarat in the last two days; the recent manhandling of the caretaker of journalist Siddharth Varadarajan’s house by some garden variety thugs; and the violence and threats meted out regularly to their political opponents by political parties is surely deplorable and condemnable. This is a fatally flawed trend which will destroy the very foundations of our democratic institutions if not pushed back with all the strength and condemnation that the civil society can mobilise. Replaying the past To begin with, it must be clarified that we should ...
