Tusshar Kapoor is committed!!

Yes you heard it right! Tusshar Kapoor is committed! But wait, we are not talking about Tushar’s relationship status instead his commitment to work. Recently during the shoot of STAR Plus’ ‘Mad in India – 100% Desi Show’, Tusshar proved that commitment is an act and not a word when the actor landed to shoot for an upcoming episode on the evening of his dad Jeetendra’s birthday.

So, on Jeetuji’s b’day eve, when many people from the film fraternity were gathering for the veteran actor’s birthday bash, beta Tushki was busy shooting for Mad in India. A little birdie informed us that despite the fact that Tusshar is very close to his father and it was his birthday, the actor patiently waited till the shoot ended and was spent time chatting up with the stars. In fact, he waited till he finished his bit completely with utmost dedication and only after finishing the shoot rushed home to spend some time with his daddy dearest!.

As they say work comes first… hats off to Tushar for his commitment!

Watch all the fun in the upcoming episode every Sunday at 9:00 pm only on Star Plus.

CAIT reveal its economic agenda for next Government

14042014
CAIT reveal its economic agenda for next Government
Instead of Corporate Sector, focus on domestic trade alone will improve the economy

Having an eye on the incumbent Government at the Centre, the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), apex body of the trading community of the Country has began the exercise of bringing core issues of the trading community at the centre stage in its bid to find place on priorities of the next Government irrespective of the party who gets peoples mandate. The CAIT has already released its Traders National Charter on 27th Februrary, 2014 at New Delhi at its national convention which was inaugurated by BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Mr. Narendra Modi and was also participated by leaders of different political parties including Union Law Minister Mr. Kapil Sibal.

At a press conference held today at Nagpur, the CAIT National President Mr. B. C. Bhartia and Secretary General Mr. Praveen Khandelwal outlined CAIT’s agenda for next Government. ” The economy of the Country is in a very dilapidated condition and needs highest priority of the next Government and having focus on exploitation of domestic resources is need of the hour. Therefore, the retail trade of India which contributes nearly 15% to National GDP requires more focus than corporate sector in order to make economy vibrant and resurgent”-said both trade leaders.

Mr. Bhartia and Mr. Khandelwal said that the CAIT has decided to embark upon the next Government to formulate a National Trade Policy and a separate Ministry of Internal Trade. Till the time the separate Ministry is formed, it will demand a State Minister for Internal Trade in Ministry of Commerce with a full fledged Directorate of Internal Trade in the Ministry to draw policies and to monitor structured growth of retail trade of India comprising of more than six crore business enterprises which is providing employment to twenty five crore people in the Country. Further neglect of this important sector of Indian economy will not be tolerated any more and if need be, the CAIT will not hesitate to launch a nationwide movement.

Both trade leaders said that creation of an alternate financial mechanism for small traders will be on top of the agenda of the CAIT. The core banking sector has failed to serve the small traders which has also been asserted by a recent report of Dr. Nachiket Mor Committee formed by RBI Governor Mr. Raghuram Rajan. The CAIT will urge upon the new Government to strengthen the Cooperative Banks and Non Banking Finance Companies which are already providing financial assistance to small traders and low income group. It will demand a classification in Non Banking Finance Companies and will call for categorization of Small Banking Finance Companies in NBFCs with a clear mandate to serve the small traders and low income group.

Allowing FDI in Retail is a burning issue for the trading community and as such the traders are committed to oppose tooth and nail any move to bring FDI in Retail and instead the CAIT will give more focus on upgradation and modernisation of existing retail trade structure in the Country. On the one hand both Central and State Governments are largely implementing e-governance in Government Departments. The traders are being made subject to e-compliance in taxation and other Departments whereas the Government have not taken initiative to empower the traders with computerisation and as such there is a wide gap and traders are finding difficult to make e compliance. Therefore, the CAIT will call upon the Government to design a nationwide campaign for education and awareness among the trading community for need of upgradation, modernisation and computerisation and also to ensure financial assistance to traders for computerising the existing business format. However, the CAIT has already working on this issue and recently it has signed a MOU with global major in e commerce eBay for the above issue and to promote online business among the traders. Both CAIT and eBay are scheduled to make formal announcement at a Press Conference at New Delhi on forthcoming 17th April, 2014.

The CAIT will also laid greater emphasis on formation of a Review Commission to review Laws, Acts, Rules and Regulation governing retail trade and all such obsolete laws should be dispensed with whereas necessary amendments must be made in rest of the laws. The BJP has already committed for such review in its poll manifesto. The amendments in Food Safety and Standards Act, Uniform taxation structure in the Country and early implementation of GST but in prior consultation with stakeholders, ban on commodity exchanges, review of APMC Act,  are some of the other core issues which CAIT will be raising for the consideration of the next Government-said both Mr. Bhartia and Mr. Khandelwal.

Syria troops seize Christian town near Lebanon border

14042014

Syrian soldiers backed by Hezbollah fighters recaptured on Monday the town of Maaloula, north of Damascus, Media reported. “Units from the army and armed forces restores security and stability in the town of Maaloula,” state news agency SANA said. The operation closed off more of the rebel supply route through the Qalamoun mountains near Lebanon. Islamist fighters, including from the Al-Qaeda-linked Al-Nusra Front, took over a quarter of the ancient Christian town in December and held several nuns captive, who were released in March in an exchange deal. In recent months, government forces have recaptured several rebel-held areas and border towns, securing the main highway leading north from Damascus towards central Syria, Homs and the Mediterranean.

Kiev is preparing to contain provocations in Eastern Ukraine

14042014
Kiev is preparing to contain provocations in Eastern Ukraine on the border.
“Ukraine provocations are being planned near the border in order to discredit the military personnel of the Russian Federation,” Vitaly Zakharchenko said in Rostov on Don during a press conference with ousted President Victor Yanukovich.
He called on the security forces in Ukraine not to obey orders from Kiev, reminding them that such actions would be illegal, and condemned Kiev’s coup-imposed leadership for giving such orders.
“From the legal point of view illegal orders are given out the illegitimately appointed Turchinov, Avakov, Nalivaychenko, Makhnitsky,” Zakharchenko said.
The information of a planned staged attack and provocations by Kiev are also being confirmed by sources in the Ukrainian Interior Ministry on condition of anonymity.
“Kiev authorities are preparing a big provocation, with a purpose to discredit the people of Donetsk and Lugansk regions who are committed to holding a referendum and federalization of the country,” the source told Ria Novosti.
“An order arrived at the management of divisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the armed forces of Ukraine deployed in Donetsk region, to use fighters from the Right Sector to simulate armed attacks on the these divisions,” source added.Ukrainian authorities have already tried to launch what they called an “anti-terrorist operation” in the eastern city of Slavyansk, Donetsk region. Gunfire broke out there on Sunday, after troops in black uniforms supported by armored vehicles and several helicopters approached the roadblock set up by the locals.

President Ma Ying-jeou sheen fades

14042014
Media reports of recent protests, student occupation of parliament to a mass rally outside the presidential office, point to Mr Ma losing public support as well as influence within his own ruling Kuomintang party. Taiwan prestigious survey research labels his latest approval ratings at 19 per cent, a far cry from the 52 per cent he garnered when he was re-elected in 2012.
President  Mr Ma’s authority is under threat, even from his own Kuomintang (KMT) party. Legislative Speaker Wang Jin-pyng made concessions to students without President Ma’s knowledge or consent. Furthermore “As far as President Ma is concerned, his power within the KMT has been openly challenged,” said Liu Bih Rong, political science professor at Soochow University.“So even if he is not yet a lame duck, he is pretty close to being one. Now we’re worried how he is going to push through his policies in the next two years.”
