Dear Naresh,
Kenya is currently abuzz with excitement at the impending arrival of President Barack Obama. After months of preparation in Nairobi, including dramatic makeovers to the city’s central district, the nation is ready to host its first visit from a sitting U.S. president. Despite this preparation,  Kenya continues to face serious challenges, including government repression, terrorism, and rampant corruption by state security forces. President Obama should use this week’s trip to urge Kenya’s leaders to address these human rights concerns.
Urge President Obama to press Kenyan leaders to address their human rights challenges in order to promote a more secure and stable nation.
While the official focus of President Obama’s visit is on economic development and entrepreneurship, the protection of human rights should be a central feature.
Kenyan human rights activists told me they want President Obama to make it clear that violations of human rights and attacks on peaceful dissent run counter to the Kenyan Government’s efforts to combat extremism.
Kenya is a key partner in the global struggle against violent extremism and must do better.

Duterte proposes another UN August 21, 2016 Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte railed against the United Nations today after it called for an end to the wave of killings unleashed by his war on drugs, saying he might leave the organisation. Duterte also said the Philippines will invite China and African nations to form another global organisation in place of United Nations, as world body is not doing enough to address hunger and terrorism. There appears to be human rights working for terrorist and mafia in third world to keep their states in dire state. Two UN human rights experts last week urged Manila to stop the extra-judicial executions and killings that have escalated since Duterte won the Presidency. About 900 suspected drug traffickers have been killed since he came to power after winning the election on May 9.
