H.E. Mr Alexandre Ziegler hosts a soirée celebrating “Befikre”
In collaboration with Yash Raj Films, H.E. Mr Alexandre Ziegler, Ambassador of France to India, co-hosted this very special soirée to celebrate Befikre with Ms Sanya Dhir, Creative Director-DIVA’NI, at the Residence of France in New Delhi, starring leads Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor. Ahead of the worldwide release of “Befikre” on 9th December, The duo, dressed in exquisitely designed DIVA’NI couture, also sashayed down the ramp for the dazzling launch of “The Ivory Kiss”, the Paris-inspired Spring-Summer 2017 couture collection of DIVA’NI, which designed the actors’ costumes for the film.
Extensively shot in Paris as well as in Cannes and Picardie, Befikre is steeped in the Parisian spirit of romance and celebrates sensual, carefree love. Under the vision of Aditya Chopra, Chairman – Yash Raj Films and famous for his landmark romantic movies, Paris becomes synonymous with Befikre’s contemporary love story, and plays the role of a third character.
The Residence of France came alive with the spirit of Befikre as the vibrant evening saw the co-stars Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor give a scintillating performance to the film’s song, “Khulke Dulke”.
With partners Pullman Aerocity, Accor, Atout France and Air France, the soirée was an ode to the film and the French art de vivre that permeates it.
France won the Best Aesthetic Location Award at the Indywood International Business Film Awards. Befikre – which is entirely shot in France – marks the future trend for France as an increasingly favourite Bollywood location in the future.
Switzerland Tourism launches the new campaigns for Winter and Summer 2017
Ø Focus on promoting winter tourism with their new tagline ‘You can… but you don’t have to’

New Delhi, November 23, 2016: Switzerland Tourism today announced the launch of its Winter Campaign for 2016 and ‘Nature wants you back’ campaign for summer 2017. The Winter campaign will focus on all the action and adventure that can be explored in one of nature’s most artistic canvases – Switzerland, with the tagline ‘You can… but you don’t have to’. The summer campaign “Nature wants you back”, to be led by Brand Ambassador Ranveer Singh was also launched. The campaign tag line is the perfect expression of how one chooses to be ‘#INLOVEWITHSWITZERLAND; have an adventurous adrenaline filled vacation or a leisurely, relaxed trip whilst taking in the beauty of the breath-taking nature, scenery and serenity of the country.
The campaign launched in presence of the tourism partners of Switzerland – Zurich, Basel, Ticino, Matterhorn and Swiss International Air Lines, hopes to further increase and sustain the double digit growth of 16% seen in 2015-2016. With an initial focus on the winter tourist, Switzerland Tourism will showcase the multiple options like skiing, sledging and snowboarding for the active traveller and Christmas markets, open air hot springs and igloo stays for the more relaxed visitor looking for pure white relaxation in winter. The summer focus for the campaign too, will be packed with an array of activities such as sky-diving, wakeboarding, canyoning etc. combined with Switzerland’s best touristic and nature highlights.

They do not only want to take a cable car up a mountain and take pictures but also want that thrill and rush which one gets while doing adventure sports. Matterhorn glacier paradise with an altitude of 12,739ft is the highest cable car station in Europe and is good place for a ski lesson for beginners.

Smriti off to a good start
Lucknow, 24th November 2016: Smriti Mehra carded three under 67 to grab the lead in the first round of the 16th leg of the Hero Women’s Professional Golf Tour at The Palms Golf Club & Resort here on Thursday .Trailing her in second position with identical scores of one under 69 were Shweta Galande and Vani Kapoor. The INR 6,00,000 event will culminate on 26th November.
Kolkata’s Smriti Mehra started impressively, carding two birdies on the first two holes. Her advantage was, however, short lived as she carded a double bogey on the 4th hole. She added two more birdies in her front nine on the 8th and 9th holes. She played a more controlled back nine, carding birdies on the 10th and 16th holes while dropping a shot on the 17th to finish with a score of three under 67.
Delhi’s Vani Kapoor and Pune’s Shweta Galande were tied second with identical scores of one under 69 after 18 holes. Shweta carded two birdies on the 5th and 9th holes , which were neutralised by two bogeys on the 6th and 8th. In her back nine, she carded a bogey on the 12th but quickly controlled the damage by pulling out two birdies on the 14th and 16th holes. Vani would have hoped for a better start as her lone birdie in her front nine came on the 9th hole. Her back nine saw birdies on the 10th and 16th holes. However, she struggled to stitch together a series of consistent shots and carded a double bogey on the 12th, to finish a shot adrift of Gursimar Badwal.
Kapurthala’s Gursimar Badwal carded an even par round to take the fourth place after the first round. She carded four birdies on the 1st,7th,11th and 16th holes, while dropping shots on 6th,8th,15th and 18th. Trailing her in the fifth spot is overseas player Kiran Matharu with a score of two over 72. Kiran had an indifferent start, dropping shots on 1st and 9th holes. With no birdies in the front nine, she went on to add a bogey and a birdie apiece on the 12th and 13th holes respectively.
Panchkula’s Amandeep Drall carded three over 73 to take the sixth position, followed by Delhi’s Ankita Tiwana in seventh with a score of four over 74. Jaipur’s Afshan Fatima is placed eighth with a score of six over 76.
