ADITI IS THE TOAST INDIAN CONTINGENT, FINISHES EIGHTH, NALINI TOP INDIAN PRO AT TIED 33RD

Gurgaon, December 2: Aditi Ashok, the 14-year-old Indian amateur, who won everybody’s admiration this week, ended as the top Indian in the sixth edition of the Hero Women’s Indian Open at the DLF Golf and Country Club. The teenager, who has been dominating the amateur circuit, shot an even par final round to finish at one-under 215 and in tied eighth place.
The top Indian pro was Nalini Singh Siwach who maintained her overnight position of tied 33rd as she carded two-over 74 and finished at five-over 221.
“This was an amazing experience, something that I will cherish,” said an excited Aditi, who plays the All India juniors next week and then defends her All India Ladies title in Kolkata the following week. “Playing with top stars from Europe and Asia and finishing in top-10 was almost like a dream.”
On her final round, Aditi added, “I dropped an early bogey with a three-putt, but got a birdie on fifth. Then again there was a bogey on sixth. On the back nine, I had three birdies and two bogeys, one of them on par-5 14th, which was slightly painful. Overall I am happy with the way I played.”
Nalini (73-74-74) said, “I could have done better, but this will give me some confidence as I leave for Morocco to play in the Ladies European tour Q-School. There were patches when I felt I dropped some shots, which could have been saved, but it was a great experience which will come useful.”
Asked about her final round, Nalini said, “The patch between fourth and seventh was rather disappointing. I dropped three bogeys. The back nine was more steady with one bogey on 13th and one birdie on 15th.” Overall she had two birdies and four bogeys.
Professionals Sharmila Nicollet (73-76-76) and Vani Kapoor (75-75-75) and amateur Gurbani Singh (76-73-76) were all tied for 45th place, while amateur Millie Saroha (76-76-81) was tied 62nd.

Duterte proposes another UN August 21, 2016 Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte railed against the United Nations today after it called for an end to the wave of killings unleashed by his war on drugs, saying he might leave the organisation. Duterte also said the Philippines will invite China and African nations to form another global organisation in place of United Nations, as world body is not doing enough to address hunger and terrorism. There appears to be human rights working for terrorist and mafia in third world to keep their states in dire state. Two UN human rights experts last week urged Manila to stop the extra-judicial executions and killings that have escalated since Duterte won the Presidency. About 900 suspected drug traffickers have been killed since he came to power after winning the election on May 9.
