Nostalgia Week on Nach Baliye-5

This weekend get ready to go down the road of nostalgia on Nach Baliye5 as the memorable jodis from the previous seasons come on the Nach Baliye stage to relive their journey and give yet another memorable performance.

Sachin-Supriya, Tanaz-Bhaktiyar, Hiten - Gauri and Shaleen and Daljeet came on the Nach Baliye stage to meet and support the current jodis on the show.
While the jodis from the previous seasons were extremely excited about performing once again, they also where a huge motivation for the current jodis. Sachin and Supriya who won season 1 of Nach Baliye set the stage on fire with a foot tapping performance  on a Marathi number.  Tanaz andBhaktiyar who came till the finals in season 2 came back on the show with their son Zeus who danced with the couple. Next in line were the much talked about jodi Hiten and Gauri from season-3 who came to the stage with a peppy number. The awe factor came when the much in love jodi Shaleen and Daljeet performed. The handsome couple who won Nach Baliye season-4 were extremely elated with the comments they got for their breathtaking performance.
Nostalgia was just not restricted to the previous jodis, even the current jodis along with the Judges had a moment that took them back to their childhood.

This is just the beginning as the current contestants have taken the level of dancing a notch higher with this week. While there were some brilliant performances don't forget to miss which couple will bid adieu to the stage of Nach Baliye.

Catch all the ex contestants and and some very innovative performances of the Jodis on Nach Baliye 5 this weekend at 9 pm only on STAR Plus!

Save Dissent to Save Democracy   THE rising instances of physical violence and threats against political opponents and the inability to accept dissent must raise huge concerns amongst all of us who see democracy as perhaps the really stellar achievement since Independence. AAP’s attack on BJP headquarters and acts of arson committed under the very noses of their elite leadership; the attacks on Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia in Gujarat in the last two days; the recent manhandling of the caretaker of journalist Siddharth Varadarajan’s house by some garden variety thugs; and the violence and threats meted out regularly to their political opponents by political parties is surely deplorable and condemnable. This is a fatally flawed trend which will destroy the very foundations of our democratic institutions if not pushed back with all the strength and condemnation that the civil society can mobilise. Replaying the past To begin with, it must be clarified that we should ...
