Justice Singhvi to Open 9-Day Mega Festival ‘Golden Future of Bharat’

New Delhi,  For celebrating Maha Shiva Ratri, a 9-Day Festival titled ‘Golden Future of Bharat’ is being organized by Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya. It will be inaugurated by Chief Guest, Justice G S Singhvi, Judge, Supreme Court of India at Netaji Subhash Place Grounds, Near Pitampura TV Tower, Ring Road here 2nd March  morning.
Rajyogi B K Brijmohan, Chief Spokesman of the Organization and Main Coordinator of the Program said this in a Press Conference held at Chelmsford Club here today.
‘Through various value educational, character building and life making exhibitions, stalls, lectures, seminars, and meditation sessions, the Festival will showcase and promote the practice of India’s rich culture and heritage of spiritual wisdom, universal values, rajyoga meditation, positive and healthy life style among people’, he said..
‘The aim is to create and strengthen a climate and culture of peace, non-violence caring and sharing with the help of spirituality as the basis for building better life and society, in other words, a golden aged world’, he emphasized.
Dr (Prof)  Prasanna Patsani, M P, Lok Sabha addressing the Press Conference said today’s mass media which is disseminating more of negative news is creating tension and dejection in the minds of masses who are already in stress, conflicts and problems. Press should highlight more of positive, optimistic and spiritual subjects which can embolden the psyche, spirit and morals of people with hope, health and happiness to scale new heights, he stressed.
Dr Sandeep Marwah, Chairman, Asian Academy of Film & Television, Noida said that in pursuit of physical comforts and material well being, we can ill afford to disregard moral values and spiritual principles which are, in fact, the bed rocks for our holistic development and sustainable growth. He said that such socio-spiritual festival which aims at value orientation and inner empowerment of people, is essential for restoration of a peaceful, progressive and prosperous society.
Rajyogini B K Asha, Director, Brahma kumaris’ Omshanti Retreat Center, Gurgaon giving a broad outline of the 9-day Festival said that several opinion leaders from diverse fields will address its various Sessions & Seminars for interfaith groups, kavis (poets), women, youth and senior citizens.

Save Dissent to Save Democracy   THE rising instances of physical violence and threats against political opponents and the inability to accept dissent must raise huge concerns amongst all of us who see democracy as perhaps the really stellar achievement since Independence. AAP’s attack on BJP headquarters and acts of arson committed under the very noses of their elite leadership; the attacks on Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia in Gujarat in the last two days; the recent manhandling of the caretaker of journalist Siddharth Varadarajan’s house by some garden variety thugs; and the violence and threats meted out regularly to their political opponents by political parties is surely deplorable and condemnable.
