Nach Baliye Finale creates waves globally

Mumbai, 24.03.2013: Star Plus wrapped up yet another successful season of its highly popular non fiction show - Nach Baliye. The show in its 6th season had an extremely successful run ever since its launch with a 4.1 tvr. There was much hype and anticipation around the 3.5 hour Grand Finale which aired on the weekend. While the ratings for the finale are yet to come out, but the hype generated around the show in the digital world was unprecedented. The show started trending on Twitter much before the telecast of the show and reached no.1 on Twitter in India. It continued to stay on top for the entire day and through the night. But the truly phenomenal achievement was that the show reached the no.1 spot on Twitter worldwide. According to the twitter tracking tool, as viewers from all over the world joined in the conversation, the hashtag #NachFinale generated over a 100 million impressions worldwide.


Speaking on this spokesperson said ' Not only has the show generated big ratings on TV, it has also been a huge success on digital. The show has generated more than a billion impressions on digital since its launch. We received a massive 1.5 crore votes from the audience through the series, showcasing the extent of engagement the show generated. We are delighted that it ended by trending worldwide at no.1'

The grand finale, featured spectacular performances by Shilpa Shetty,  Terence Lewis, Tamanaah Bhatia, host Karan Wahi and all the participating celebrity couples. It culminated with Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij winning the much coveted title.

Star Plus has announced the launch of Nach Baliye - Shrimaan vs Shrimati as an extension of the popular format. The show will air from 6th April, every Sat- Sun at 9pm
