26042013
Aspen Institute India is delighted to announce the “Aspen India – Avantha International Fellowship 2013”! This unique fellowship programme serves as an innovation lab for knowledge sharing and capacity building for two international students during summer 2013. The two selected fellows will be placed in Aspen Institute India’s office over a period of two months in the timeframe of 1 June – 15 September, 2013 (dates are flexible based on international university schedule) and exposed to India’s policy landscape. The fundamental aim is to foster prospective leaders and increase their responsiveness to national and international issues facing India.
What to expect:
While the fellowship programme gives the selected candidates an opportunity to learn about the social, political and economic issues facing the world’s largest democracy, it also attempts to engage them in Aspen Institute India’s international programmes and increase their responsiveness to the country’s foreign policy needs.
In addition to international exposure and leadership experience, the Fellows will gain experience on these issues and learn from the best practices and expert minds in the field. They are also expected to write a detailed thematic paper on a priority area that is determined by the Institute and actively support Aspen India in their ongoing seminars, workshops, conferences and other related events where applicable.
