Sinopsis: Javier Bardem, ganador de Óscar, interpreta a Florentino ariza, un poeat cuya relación con la hermosa y joven Fermina Daza (Giovanna Mezzogiorno) se ve interrumpida por su padre (John Leguizamo) y decide enviarle muy lejos. Al pasar el tiempo, Fermina se casa con un doctor (Benjamin Bratt), quien lucha intensamente una batalla contra el cólera. De todos modos, con el regreso de Florentino a casa tras 50 años, ella descubre que su primer amor nunca la olvidó.

Synopsis: The Oscar winner Javier Bardem interprets the role of Florentino Ariza, a poet whose relationship with the young and beautiful Fermina Daza (Giovanna Mezzogiorno) is interrupted when his father (John Leguizamo) decides to send him far away. Further ahead, Fermina gets married to a doctor (Benjamin Bratt) who is fighting and intense battle against cholera. However, upon her return home after 50 years, she discovers that her first love never forgot about her.
