The Aam Aadmi Party appeals to the people of Trilokpuri and its surrounding areas in East Delhi to maintain peace and calm, and completely ignore vicious rumours being spread in the area with the intention of flaring up communal passions.
AAP leaders are monitoring the situation round the clock and ground reports from the communal violence hit area make it clear that vested interests made all out attempts to instigate communal riots.
Party leaders Sanjay Singh and Manish Sisodia, along with Trilokpuri and Kondli MLAs Raju Dhingan and Manoj Kumar have apprised the leadership of the situation prevailing in Trilokpuri.
Based on the field report, the AAP demands that Delhi Police must immediately complete its probe into who made 192 fake calls to the Police Control room (PCR).
These calls were made with the intention of misleading the Police and spreading panic through hoax calls.
Delhi Police, which has now deployed its personnel in adequate strength to bring the situation under control, has a lot to explain in this incident and it should not soft pedal its probe into who was behind these calls.
The Police also cannot ignore the role of former BJP MLA Sunil Kumar Vaidya, against whom there is sufficient evidence of having conspired to create communal discord in the area.
Local residents have also told the AAP leaders that close aides of Vaidya were involved in sending hate messages through Whats App which were particularly aimed at spreading hatred against a particular community.
The AAP will hand over the mobile number to the Police for complete investigation into this matter.
The AAP is also handing over video evidence to the Police which shows the communal violence was pre-planned and the entire conspiracy needs to be exposed.
Central government must take all necessary steps to wake up the unresponsive and unaccountable Delhi administration from its slumber before it is too late. (ENDS)
