Kashyap are among the 14 Indian shuttlers who have advanced to the Singles pre-quarterfinals of the Syed Modi International Badminton Championships at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. In the Women's Singles first round yesterday, top seed Saina defeated Yin Fun Lim of Malaysia, 21-17, 21-12, while third placed Sindhu eased past Ekta Kalia, 21-6, 21-12. In the Men's Singles, top seed Srikanth edged past Malaysian Kian Meng Tan, 18-21, 21-13, 22-20, while Kashyap beat Ankit Chhikara, 21-7, 21-14.
